Hi Karen,
Yes, you can play DVD's in Microsoft Media Centre, the quality is absolutely
terrific. I think the majority of us, though, use Power DVD or interactive
WinDVD, though you can still enjoy it on Media Player.

the dvd was playing in windows media player, can you play them in wmp or do 
you need an additional programme????
