The company do indeed have a way of tracking whether a single license is used on multiple machines. Basically the server clocks how many updates are downloaded by a single username and password combination. If say an update became available and a user downloads that update a number of times that day then this could be logged and the license revoked.

Is it legal to install a single usered licence copy onto more than one machine at anyone time?

Does the company have any means of preventing and/or tracking this if you did so?
