Hi Dion,

So who is the UK distributor of the Laptalk? Is it Force Ten? I didn't
know Laptalk was distributed in the UK. Just curious.

What always bothered me about the Laptalk, is that it is a full-blown
computer, with no screen. This is OK, until Windows XP decides it doesn't
want to boot. You are away from the house, and you have no monitor to plug
it into. Then, even sighted people can't help you recover from it. It's a
great idea, but I feel a little more comfortable having a screen on a
full-blown laptop. A note taker for the blind on the other hand, is OK,
because you can always reset it. Having said all this, the recovery disk
on the Laptalk may be completely automatic, I don't know, but I have never
seen one yet that is.

Just some musings.

All the best
