[access-uk] Re: need information on jaws 11 with windows7

Hi.
As I understand it, for USB versions of JAWS you still need to install the video intercept. The thing is because you're installing on Windows 7 rather than install the video intercept driver it will install the mirror display driver. If you're installing JAWS to your hard drive the same thing is true.
So yes you've got the wrong end of the stick!
Hope this helps.

Just to be clear, do you mean that no need to install the video
intercept manager on Vista and Windows 7 systems for Jaws to work? I
never new that! That means Jaws USB versions will run on a Windows 7
system straightaway? That's grate. Or have I got the wrong end of the
stick?

Cheers,
Amro

Hi.
Windows Vista and later uses Mirror Driver technology, which means
that assistive software will work with most if not all video cards
circulating on the market today. It also means that should you need to
update drivers or change video cards the assistive software will still
work.
Hope this helps.
