Yep, from red chair software. It provides a database that you can browse by artist, album, genre and the like or perform simple or advanced searches. Simple searches are just that, look for a word in either artist or title. The advanced search is a full sql interface so you can do pretty much anything with that if you know some sql. You can output results in HTML, XML, CSV or text. You can create playlists and assign your favourite music player to audigen to play your playlists or all tracks for an artist, etc. As I mentioned, you can do single or batch updates for ID3 tags simply by selecting the tracks using the searches above or just browsing the database and then pressing enter to open up the tags for editing. You can copy tracks from the database to another location and it will automatically rename the resulting copied tracks in napster format of artist, album, track number and track. You can add music from multiple locations on your computer or across a network.

All of the above and more come with audigen explorer which is half of the audigen application. The other feature is audigen streamer which provides a means of remotely logging into your computer to either stream or download music from your database. You can set up any number of users with their own password and obviously access from any other computer with an internet connection.

Not bad for about £15? All completely accessible as well with a check box in the options specifically for keyboard users to ensure ease of use.

Yep, true but sometimes kid's stuff is good and it's always worth knowing
about the alternatives available. To be honest, mp3 tag editor is kid's
stuff compared to my audigen software that I use to manage my music
collection which also provides tag editing.

Hi Kevin,

All of these options are kids stuff compared to MP3Tag,
http://www.mp3tag.com. And it's free.

All the best

You can edit mp3 tags in windows explorer by selecting a track or number
of
tracks and then pressing alt and enter to open the properties dialogue.
When the dialogue is opened, press control and tab to go to the summary
tab.

Tab once to the advanced button and press spacebar to activate it. If you
don't see an advanced button then you already have the advanced view
enabled
and so press shift and tab to get back into the list of tag details. You
can now arrow up and down until you find the specific tags you want to
change. For example, if you want to change artist, simply key the new
value
you want when positioned on artist and press enter. If you selected more
than one track to do a batch update then you'll have to press enter again
to
update all tracks.

Alternatively, you already have a great tag editor in windows media
player.
You'll need to add your music to the library by pressing function key F3
when in media player and browsing to your music folder. Once you have
your
music in the library simply tab into the tree view to the tracks you want
to
update and use the applications key to reveal the context menu containing
the edit tag option.

If you don't like either of the above you could try mp3tag editor which is
freeware and works quite well.
