[access-uk] Re: mp3 recorders

Hi Terry,

Yeah I thought that was the case.

Have a quick google on mp3 recorders and have found a company that
specialise in digital dictation devices.  Have spoken with a very helpful
person there who has recommended 2 devices, 1 a Sanyo mp3 recorder and a
philips device which has USB 2 connectivity.  Both look the sort of thing
I'm after at a reasonable price.  The only question I have is whether I
would be forced to use the specific sanyo / philips software interface to
take off the files or whether I could just use windows explorer - I had this
problem with my Olympus dm1.
 
This is the link to the info on the philips machine, anyone out there used
this or similar device and if so any feedback on usage of the download
software with jaws?

Yes I know I myself may struggle to use the machine but I have other things
such as my bookcourier which I want to play the files back on and want this
to be what I give my reader to take away and read onto and all I want to be
able to do is extract the recorded files.

Apols if this is getting a bit technical but hey that's what this list is
for!!

The I-reiver is fine only that the ones which the speech works well on are
ungettable now.
