Harry, When I asked the Telewest engineer to do this for me.
As my other msg said. He said it couldn't be done, and then he seemed to change
his mind, when i mentioned getting another set top box.
I told him, i just wanted to run another cable using a splitter.
Any chance you could find out which type of splitter your son uses, and where
he got it?.
You still on msn Harry. I lost your msn details after a clean install of my
system.

Harry, when it comes right down to it. It must possible to connect more
than one piece of hardware to the Telewest cable.
Perhaps you could use some kind of splitter, but I'm not sure, maybe
someone on list could tell us more.

hi guys,
I've now got my Telewest cable connection Installed.
If you can mind, I was asking some time ago on list, if it was possible
to split the cable connection.
By this I mean. Could I use the cable tv connection for another
television in my home, without renting another set top box?.
I had asked the Installation engineer if he would connect the cable to
my portable tv in my room, but he said you could not split the connection, as
it would weaken the tv signal.
So I came back.
What if I in the future decide I wanted a second set top box, would
have to run through another cable.
He looked thoughtful for a moment, and then said, no we would the
broadband cable connection in the bedroom, and split it with the computer and
the portable television set in the room.
I'm now totally confused.
