jim, that is very kind of you. I think as blind people going for something new. It is always better to ask first.
I don't have a credit card, but a Switch Debit card.

Hi Billy, I can understand your hesitance of going alone with setting up the account with Pay pal and trying to get your head round the instructions of doing so, when there are experienced people on this list that can guide you through this daunting process, so please don't take other comments about reading through the instructions to heart. Some people have more sight/computer experience than others and I don't think this fact was taken into consideration. Simons instructions are correct, but beware, when he says you will find an amount on your credit card bill, you will find a number also which you need to enter into your set up account page when you re-visit the pay pal account to finalize your registration. The beware notice is that don't be tempted to phone your credit card company and ask for the number, because if pay pal receive a complaint from your credit card company they will suspend any further hopes of setting up an account. The moral of this story is be patient and wait until your next credit card statement arrives and then proceed to set up your account. It would be advisable to have a pair of eyes to assist you at this final point.

HTH
Jim.
