Hi I previously had a Nokia 6630 and have now got a Nokia 6120 classic. I am aware that there are probablybetter handsets, but I don't like paying for them, and I am only prepard to pay the bare minimum in monthly contract. This means I use th3 3 network, and they only offer a limited number of handsets. That said I haven't had any problems with the software or handsets. If you have a s60 phone then you can download a 10 minute version from the www.codefactory.es site and install it on to your phone. If you realy want to give ti whirl you can contact enable eyes who can give you a 30 day licence for free. After that it reverts to the 10 minute licence, which is a real pain as you have to turn the phone off and on to get it back for another 10 minutes. I believe the package you buy also comes with software called mobile magnifier, but as I can't see anything I have no use for it. Depending on how much sight you have you might want a pair of eyes with you for installing the software, The instructions on the site are quite good. Just for clarity I don't own any shares in Code Factory, or anyone else, it just seems like no noe else is using this and I thought I would share the info. Matt, can I jump in here, and ask this? what hand-sets have you used with Mobile speak?, Billy----- Original Message ----- From: "Matthew Allbones" <mallbones@xxxxxxxxxxxxxx>To: <access-uk@xxxxxxxxxxxxx> Sent: Tuesday, December 04, 2007 2:42 PM Subject: [access-uk] Re: mobile speak? Hi I have not used Talks, but I have had to do quite a lot of research recently, changing handsets etc, so I can't offer a comparison. I orignially went for mobile speak because I was buying just before talks was released. I now stick with it because I am too mean to pay for a different software package, when I can buy the upgrade fir less. As far as the Internet access is concerned I will have a go and get back to you. I tried it when I first got an accessible phone nad it was a disaster, so I haven't looked at it since. Sorry, not much help. Hi Matt Could I just sneak in here and ask you a couple of questions please as you use Mobile Speak? Firstly, what is the difference between it and TALKS, if you use both? And, secondly, is Mobile Speak any better on the Internet using a mobile, for example, Vodafone Live? Using TALKS, I've managed in the past to download a couple of ringtones from Vodafone Live, but it isn't easy because it's like Flash. I'm just curious as a comparison really. I do some voluntary mobile phone training, and like to know these things for reference. Many thanks. Specifically it is the phones that use the sybian60operating system. There is a website that lists allof the handsets, something like www.symbian.com, although there is a link from the Code factory www.codefactory.es website. They are the firm that makemobilespeak. If he has 3.25 then I would suggest he downloads the next versionbeforehe installs it. My understanding is that the launched v3.32 last Friday, which was a bit annoying as I only upgraded to v3.25 a coupleofweeks ago.
