I think that's perhaps a bit of an exaggeration. I've had
six or seven phone now which all worked in the USA, albeit
they were tri-band phones.

It's definitely NOT a Sim card issue. It's purely down to
the hardware.

George.

Subject: [access-uk] mobile phones used in US

Hi all
Does anyone know if this is true.
"Most mobile phone handsets on sale in UK will not work in
US."

That is what I was told by someone working for Car Phone
Warehouse.

So if they're correct, what does it depend on as to whether
the UK handset will work in US

I did think it was a SIM issue, but was told it's down to
the handset used.

Regards,
Derek
