Just to add to what others said, you can use your mobile handset as a
modem so you don't have to buy additional hardware gear; that what I do.
Hook your mobile to your laptop and use PC Suite to connect to the
internet. About prices and data usage allowance you'd have to check with
your mobile network service provider.

hi guys, wondering if there is anything like pay as you go mobile
broadband?.
i'm going on a weekend break soon, and would like to take my laptop with
me, but i don't want to take out a seperate contract for mobile
broadband. i have a monthly contract with my cable provider, which gives
me home broadband tv and tel, but i don't want another contract for my
laptop internet.
is there anything on the market like mobile phone pay as you go?, for
laptops,
