Hi Andy I use the large roller-ball tip on my long cane which is an Ambutech. I used to use a small mushroom shape, then the smaller roller, and now prefer the large one. This is a lot less harsh on your wrist, especially where pavements are so uneven. With a roller, it also saves you having to lift the cane and tap it as you walk, though I do this when I'm landmarking. Your local Society or Rehab Officer should be able to find out whether you can get these free of charge, so it's definitely worth asking. I've just looked at the RNIB website, under long canes, and can see my Revolution cane listed. Firstly, I assume I would be charged the VAT free price? and secondly, can somebody tell me about the different tips for this cane? I can't quite figure out the advantages of one over another, like I say, I have been using the roller tip, which seems to have good durability for street work, what are the pros and cons of the other tips over the roller tip? Thanks for any help - Andy ______________________________________________________________________ This email has been scanned by the MessageLabs Email Security System.
