I don't know specifically about 8.1 as opposed to 8.0 that I looked up
but you could try it though and see what occurs.

Hi Tristram.

All I can see in the Microsoft download centre is Messenger 8.1.  Is
this the latest that will work with jaws or will I have to download an
older version from somewhere else?
