Subject: [access-uk] is there a program other than QuickTime which will play .mov files?

Hi all,

I've downloaded a TV program from BBC1 which I'd like to
watch, but it can, as far as I know only be opened with
Apple QuickTime as it's a .mov file, and as I'm using a
machine with a Windows XP Pro O/S, I was wondering if there
was another program I could use to access the file, as I
find it odd that the BBC allow their programs to be saved in
a format that is more easily accessible from a Mac computer
than a computer running Windows.

If I do need to use QuickTime, can someone remind me where I
can obtain a free download, as , when I googled for one, all
I seemed to get was download links for paid versions.

Thank you in advance for your help.

Alexander Shannon
