Sorry to reply to my own message.
While Real Alternative manages to play the sound, is there another program I
could use other than QuickTime which would play the associated video as well
as the sound, as the .mov file is a download from BBC1 TV.
Pleas note that if there isn't a program other than Quick Time that will
play the file in its entirety, then that isn't a problem, it's just that I
have some residual vision and would like to see the whole program.
