The phrase *Blind young things* is a play on words from *Wild young things*. 
I think this sentiment was reflected in the programme.  Even though it 
portrayed students as naive and a little out of control, it showed blind 
people as human and not just a generic disability.  That can only be a 
positive thing.

I may be missing something here, but it was actually called "Blind Young
Thing", unless the full title was "Cutting Edge: Blind Young Thing"?
