Hi Justin, Not quite sure what you are talking about. If you entered that code into your phone that I gave you, it should work for ever. You need do no more. Hi STeve! thanks, it's worked a treat now! got the new version on the phone. Just one last question. i get the feeling I'm gonna need to tap in the talks serial number into my phone? It hasn't indicated that it's a demo yet but, i thought I better check whether I need to re-register talks with the phone. thanks again, JUstin ----- Original Message ----- From: Steve Nutt To: access-uk@xxxxxxxxxxxxx Sent: Monday, April 25, 2005 5:30 PM Subject: [access-uk] Re: problems with opening talks install, low memory Hi Justin, Yes, the problem is that you have an N-Gage. It is a low-memory phone. What you need to do is to reset your phone. WARNING!!! you will lose all data on your phone when you do this. Also, please make sure that punctuation is turned on if you are using speech, or you will miss the star and the hash signs in the quoted digits below:- 1. Turn on the phone. 2. Get to the main phone window. 3. Type "*#7370#", without the quotes obviously, into your phone. You will be asked if you are sure you want to reset the phone. Key 1 for Yes. This is Option Key 1, not the number 1. Then you will be asked for the lock code. By default, this is 12345. Enter this and press Key 1. Talks and everything else on your phone is now gone. You will then have a clean phone, as if you bought it brand new. Now reinstall Talks, and all will be OK. Again, remember to back up any data you want to keep, but not Talks obviously, or you will go back to the old version. For those interested, this does not happen in newer phones from the 6600 up, but the N-Gage has very little memory to play with. I started upgrading my talks version just now. I managed to send the TTS file to my phone. HOwever, i can't get my phone to open the message, I get this message instead. "Messaging; not enough memory to perform operation. Delete some data first." Well, i went through all my calender entries, my images, my old texts - received and sent etc. Deleted everything from my logs, logged calls and notes to do. Even my extra ringtones are gone now too! I still get the same message when I try to open the file. I can't think of anything else to delete now! I have the Nokia n-gage and the old 1.20 version of talks. I'm stumped as to what else i'd need to delete. anyone come across this problem before? anyone know what's going on? thanks for any advice. Justin
