Hi, I have a Stream and confirm that the battery is removeable - in fact, I bought a spare battery when I purchased the unit and have had to use it regularly... Unfortunately, there is not a separate charger unit for the spare battery, so it necessitates even more frequent swapping of battery.
Also, I found that the case supplied with the Stream started to disintegrate after only a few months of use, although, as you can tell from the battery issue, it is heavily used! I bought the Turtleback leather case from HumanWare and, so far, it seems a much nicer and more durable case - worth the money.

Hi, as far as I know both cost £195. The other thing to consider is whichcompany will give the best and easiest upgrade and support? I'm plumping forHumanware on that one, though the Plextalk does look good too. Yes you can record and edit complex daisy audio books on the latter, but I wouldn'tthink the mannual will be as comprehensive or easy to ollow and the batterylife is much better on the Stream at 15 hours, rather than 10. I'm pretty sur that battery is removable too but I'l find out when i get my steam! ** To leave the list, click on the immediately-following link:- ** [mailto:access-uk-request@xxxxxxxxxxxxx?subject=unsubscribe] ** If this link doesn't work then send a message to: ** access-uk-request@xxxxxxxxxxxxx ** and in the Subject line type ** unsubscribe ** For other list commands such as vacation mode, click on the ** immediately-following link:- ** [mailto:access-uk-request@xxxxxxxxxxxxx?subject=faq] ** or send a message, to ** access-uk-request@xxxxxxxxxxxxx with the Subject:- faq __________ NOD32 3507 (20081009) Information __________ This message was checked by NOD32 antivirus system. http://www.eset.com
