Hi Tris

I'm using the Apple wireless keyboard to cheat and type in my contacts that
way.

On the Mac, they saw each other, and my N86 asked if it could connect with
the Mac Mini. But then it got complicated as there were numbers to put in,
and I thought you only needed four zeros.

And just to add to my Monday morning fun, my wireless keyboard seems to be
acting oddly. I've checked on the phone that it is connected, that
Bluetooth is on, and all is well. But only certain keys on the keyboard
work. None of the cursors do, nor the keyboard letters and numbers. The
top right, when pressed, says: "Keyboard hidden", so I have no idea what
that means, and I can't seem to do much. I've even changed the batteries
and restarted both the phone and keyboard. I was in the middle of putting
in a contact when it decided to go silent on me. It's all probably me, and
I'm just not very good on the phone side of it. Will get there ...
Eventually!

Kind Regards,

Dear Jackie

As you proceed through the new contact form with the right flick gesture you
will notice that it announces the "mobile" prompt as a button. If you
double tap it you will be able to select a different type in there. The
contact form can store a lot of data, I certainly have some where three
numbers exist.

I don't tend to leave Bluetooth going because it does drain power and if you
are not using it then that drains the little battery life you do have.
Likewise if you mainly use it as a phone or are mainly in range of wireless
networks you operate or trust you can turn the 3G off and that will save a
bunch of power.

Surprised you could not pair your N86 as I have done this many times. I
think to be fair with Snow Leopard. Does the Mac even pick it up in the
listview on the first or second step of the wizard? If you get that far you
should be able to pair in the next step.

Regards.

Subject: [access-uk] iPhone update!

Following my last Email, it now seems that I am receiving text messages, but
that I can't send my contacts across to my iPhone as business cards, and
perhaps that's why I haven't received them as I was trying to do things that
way.

So, back to the manual typing them in for now.

Incidentally, there doesn't seem to be a landline field or place where you
can put actual telephone numbers. Where do people put these out of
interest? I know it seems a really batty question, but I can only find
mobile.

Many thanks.

Kind Regards,

Jackie Cairns
