Jackie, I can help you with this and I think you'll be very happy. Firstly, 
if the book is purchased through the IBooks Store you'll be able to navigate

through it by page, word, character etc. You can also access chapters 
through the page of contents. Good news is that if you already have a 
compatible Braille display, you can use it to read IBooks.

If I remember correctly the IBooks app isn't automatically on the IPhone, I 
don't know about the IPad or IPod, but its free and you can easily download 
it from the apps store.

All the books in the IBooks store are accessible with Voice Over, if you 
want you can download a sample before purchasing.
