George, How do I get word to generate the table of contents? I've got the
headings now and had a quick look through words menues but couldn't find it.

Hi Yusef,
One way to begin, is to use Word's Heading Styles. Heading
1, Heading 2, 3, etc..
Having done that, you can then generate a Table of Contents,
which is Hyperlinked. That is to say when you browse
through the TOC, you can click on an item, and it will take
you directly to where that Heading appears in the document.
In technical terms, what Word has done is create Bookmarks
at each Heading when it built the TOC.
Once you have mastered creating a TOC, you can then create
your own bookmarks and hyperlinks wherever you like.
George.

Subject: [access-uk] headings in word
Hi all, I am using WE 5.0 and Office XP. I have a document
where I am writing notes on a number of different books. I
would like to create a heading for each title so that I can
easily jump to the title of the book that I need to get the
notes from. How can I do this?
Cheers
Yusuf
