Yes, I recall seeing that too - probably on the same message as yours!

I seem to remember reading somewhere that the conversions done to WMA are
not always good in that many of the converters are deliberately low quality
because of licensing issues and things. I seem to have heard this applies
particularly to wma files but I am somewhat vague on this and could well be
talking rubbish.

Cheers

Graham

Keep it on list, please, Roger, as the answer may be helpful to others.

Thanks.

Hi Kaz

The short answer is I don't know never having used WMA format but I wonder
if you have the MP3 bit rate too low.

I run a Goldwave help list where there are some brilliant experts in
residence. I'll join you up and you can ask them if you say the word.

Roger

Some mistakes are too much fun to only make once.

Hi all

i am trying to convert some files from WMA to MP3 using goldwave. I have
opened the file and gone to save as and saved them in the other format
but when i go to listen to it it is very distorted and sounds like its
running under water. Is there anything else i should be doing to convert
these files successfully???

thanks in advance.

karen
