I've put up a request for an answer to this one on the Goldwave list. When I
have a reply I'll post it here. Remembering most of the experts are American
and Canadian so because to the time zone factor it will most likely be
tomorrow now.

The short answer is I don't know never having used WMA format but I wonder if you have the MP3 bit rate too low.
I run a Goldwave help list where there are some brilliant experts in residence. I'll join you up and you can ask them if you say the word.

Hi all
i am trying to convert some files from WMA to MP3 using goldwave. I have opened the file and gone to save as and saved them in the other format but when i go to listen to it it is very distorted and sounds like its running under water. Is there anything else i should be doing to convert these files successfully???
