I've just had a look round a few discussions, and it appears that all it
does is find a matching stream on Youtube, but hide the video part and just
play the audio.
You might find it easier to just use youtube directly, or if music is your
thing, have you tried last.fm?
Also, I don't know how accessibly spotify is, but if you can get a free
invite from a friend, then it's free.
