Keep the Talks key held down then press key 1, copy.

Hi, I've read the section in the talks manual on editing. As I understand it
you press the talks key once, then press it again holding it down whilst you
move the cursor key over the text you want to select. But what I don't get
is how to actually copy that text once its selected. Can anyone offer any
advice?
