Catherine, some good comments there. I have been considering going back to the public house in question to try talk to the manager about the problem, but I'm not too sure. Regarding the telephone problem. I got a contact number from 195, but when I called the number, an Irate lady told me it was not the public house in question, but that she was getting lots of people calling looking for the same pub. So I take from that, the number in question, belonged to the pub at one time,

Hi Billy, I can understand you feeling annoyed. Do you feel calmer than on the night in question though? Do you think you could go in and ask to talk to the manager about the issue? It seems strange there was no phone number and it would be good to talk to them about the problem. They certainly shouldn't be using the accessible loo for storing things - that negates the whole point of an accessible loo. As for the key issue - sometimes people say they don't want to have to ask for a key; and since the staff there don't understand the need not to store things in the accessible toilet they probably wouldn't understand that some people have invisible impairment which might cause difficulty for some people asking for the key. But it does sound to me overall like a key would be a good idea... If that wasn't bad enough, there were piles of bar room tables and chairs stored in there as well. I had to plough my way through them on my way in and out of the door.I don't mind telling you all, I was a little shaken, when I returned to mywife Anne, so much so, she wanted to complain to the bar staff there and then, but I just wanted to try forget about what had just happened.I just don't understand why there was not some kind of lock on the disabled toilet door. Which would mean any disabled person needing to use the toilet,would have to approach the bar staff for a key.The best of it was. There was another Gents & Ladies toilet in the bar room.I'm not really sure if there is anything in the disability act that would cover such a problem, but if not there should be. PS.
