Damon,

You are not quite correct.  the station name is pronounced correctly, but
the text information given by the station, i.e. which piece of music is
playing, is spelled out.

am I right in thinking that the pure radio doesn't speak out the name of the
radio stations in full but spells it out letter by letter? If so, isn't that
a less than satisfactory user experience?
