If you are using a collax cable, you will have had to tune your TV in to the freeview box signal as if it was a transmitter. Is there a way of telling your freeview box to move channel? You can do this with satellite boxes and video recorders. So, for instance, if it's currently sending a signal via channel 10, make it move up to channel 35 at the other end of the band to see if this clears any interference. You'll need to then retune your TV to the new frequency that your freeview box is broadcasting out on. ...Damon -----Original Message----- From: access-uk@xxxxxxxxxxxxx [mailto:access-uk@xxxxxxxxxxxxx] On Behalf Of Damon Rose Sent: 13 April 2011 10:00 To: access-uk@xxxxxxxxxxxxx Subject: [access-uk] Re: demo of the tv problems I am having Sorry if this is retreading old ground William but ... How are you connecting your freeview box to your TV? It's a little hard to hear the buzz but it sounds a bit more like RF interference to me and not necessarily an internal electronic issue. My wild guess here is that you are connecting your freeview box to your TV via a colaxial cable and not a scart. This means that effectively your box is transmitting over a TV frequency and is subject to local interference if there is any. I believe that if you use a scart instead, it could solve the problems. Or even an HDMI, though I'm guessing the Goodmans freeview box doesn't have one of these. Do neighbours report having interference? Is it visual interference as well as audio? It could be that someone has a video sender on the same channel or neighbouring frequency. Also, it's the first time I've heard the voice on this box and ... He scares me. ...Damon -----Original Message----- From: access-uk@xxxxxxxxxxxxx [mailto:access-uk@xxxxxxxxxxxxx] On Behalf Of william lomas Sent: 13 April 2011 09:12 To: access-uk@xxxxxxxxxxxxx Subject: [access-uk] demo of the tv problems I am having Hi this is an mp3 of the buzzing issues I am having so people can hear how mad it is driving me, :) with my freeview box http://dl.dropbox.com/u/25550170/tv_buzzing.mp3 ** To leave the list, click on the immediately-following link:- ** [mailto:access-uk-request@xxxxxxxxxxxxx?subject=unsubscribe] ** If this link doesn't work then send a message to: ** access-uk-request@xxxxxxxxxxxxx ** and in the Subject line type ** unsubscribe ** For other list commands such as vacation mode, click on the ** immediately-following link:- ** [mailto:access-uk-request@xxxxxxxxxxxxx?subject=faq] ** or send a message, to ** access-uk-request@xxxxxxxxxxxxx with the Subject:- faq http://www.bbc.co.uk/ This e-mail (and any attachments) is confidential and may contain personal views which are not the views of the BBC unless specifically stated.
