Hi
Well apart from the usual smart arse reply of ..so you didn't take a
back up then?..could you not remove the hard disk and put in a u.s.b.
cradle to copy the data over to your desk top and if you need to junk
the tosh paperweight at least use the hard disk to keep back ups for
any future laptop you might buy?
Just my two euros worth.
Cheers
G
From glorious Devon, England.

Hi George,
Hmm, and I was led to believe Toshiba were a good reliable brand...
What I could really do with is finding someone decent to take a look
at it
and at least tell me if it's salvageable and if not do something
like you've
suggested to at least get the data off it in particular my Outlook
data file
as the one thing I didn't backup was my emails, contacts etc..I
know, silly
me.
I'm not best pleased though as I've not added any hardware to it and
it cost
over £1000 and I've had it lessss than 3 years, I knew I'd have to
replace
