Not via the normal Windows Update route. I'd suggest
leaving alone until we're sure it's settled. You never know
what might crawl out of the woodwork.

George.

XP SP3 was mentioned. Is this ready now, and is it easy to
install?

Yes, I'd heard this about Vista's successor turning up
sooner than
originally planned. Reason? Simple. Vista's not doing as
well as MS
hoped. Not enough extra bang for the bucks for 30% of users
or more,
according to a UK survey I saw published in PC Pro.

I'm not at all sure we'll be missing out substantially
access-tech
wise either regarding nice things that can be done in Vista
with
Mirror drivers vs. video chaining, although the latest
release of
Window-Eyes I understand might take advantage of mirror
drivers for a
bit of extra functionality.

Like to bet Steve Nutt would know something about this, but
he
probably cannot say if, as I think, he's a beta tester for
W-E7.

Cheers,

Andy, I would be more concerned about the JAWS functionality
in XP. I
tend
to feel that as the Operating System moves on, so JAWS
starts to
suffer on
the previous version.

Would you believe Microsoft are proposing to release Windows
7 in
2009,
bringing that release date forward from 2010?
