Hi Brendan,
Interesting about the tomorrow's date effect you get visually, it has no
effect on screen readers. Both JAWS and Window-Eyes don't get too concerned
about it <Smile>. In fact, until you mentioned it, I didn't even know it
was a problem.
All the best

Hi Steve, Adrian and everyone,
Steve, interesting to hear of the strategies you use to navigate the
National Rail site. I'm a ZoomText user and have sufficient residual vision
to be able to avoid many of the accessibility issues, though I do often have
difficulty with screen contrast and strange colour combinations. It tends
to be the little things that are annoying, like when you select tomorrow's
date the screen resets back to the top of the page again: this is just
awful programming!
One of the things that has been taken away and which was most useful in the
past was the timetable listing the final destination of each train.
This was extremely useful information, since it made it a lot easier to be
sure you were on the right train. Pre National Rail it provided this
information for every leg of the journey. A useful way around this is to
use the live departure boards on a previous day to check the destination of
trains. This also has the advantage that you can see exactly where trains
stop.
Cheers,
Brendan.
