[access-uk] cd rom drive not recognised

Hi List,
Don't know why but all of a sudden my cd rom drive seems not to be working.
I was burning some files onto a cd and when I tried to do it again it suddenly
stopped working. Every cd I put into the drive nothing happens.
Any suggested solutions?
