Will, This is a hoax, a scam. Something identical happened to a friend of mine, and he dealt with the caller by telling him in no uncertain terms that he would go straight to the police and report it, have BT monitor the calls, and basically get to hell. They've never bothered him again, and I would do the same in his shoes.
