Adrian

I agree with you about news, which I get through RSS feeds. I have a DAISY
player for talking books, and the sound quality is now excellent, heaps
better than the old six track tape machines we used to have.

I am certainly thinking about getting an MP3 player, either the Book Courier
or one of the new ones just coming out. This would allow me to transfer
Audible books and take them with me away from the PC. I prefer to use the
highest format for Audible books which the Zen Stone doesn't support, and it
only has a limited capacity of 1GB. An MP3 player which can take memory
cards would accommodate many more books. I am an avid bookworm, so that is
why I want one of these gadgets.

I also download books from One Word Radio, and these could also go on the
player to free up my PC.

I expect you are a very busy person, and perhaps at present you don't feel
you are missing out, but these gadgets are always there for when you do have
a need for them.

Wendy

Following up on karens run down of what she uses the book courier for
then:
For my part I don't have any of these devices, I listen to audible books
and mp3s on either an ipod shuffle or a zen stone, read documents on the
PC which I hardly ever do for leisure, I don't currently subscribe to
TNAUK because I get all the news and up to date information I could ever
want on the web, mostly via rss feeds, and I don't currently use any
daisy player. I struggle to think of what benefit any of these devices
would bring. It would be nice to read news away from the PC but as it
usually takes longer to identify articles I intend to read in full than
it does to read them I don't see this happening any time soon.
so, what do you listen to on your device, where do you get it from and
what are the advantages over alternatives such as the PC, zen stone or
such like.
what am I missing out on.
