Hi Eleanor

That is why I did not get the Bluez from S and S, because a friend of mine
bought his from HumanWare with the adaptor, and they sell the Bluez with or
without it. You can contact them on 01933 415 800.

Hi Jackie, I have just asked Sight & Sound about the adaptor and the chap I
spoke to never heard of it *smile*. Can you give me the contact of
humanware as I would like to ask them about the adaptor and do not know
where humanware are to look up the telephone number.

Hi Andrew

The adaptor is a small gadget with a box at one end of the cable and a 3.5
jack at the other. If I want to pair my AfterShokz Bluez headphones to
say
my Victor Reader Stream, which doesn't support Bluetooth, I use the
adaptor.
I don't know who makes it, I bought the headphones and the adaptor which
HumanWare sell.

I don't have an Olympus, so don't know if this would pair with it. I
didn't
think the DM5 supported Bluetooth? Someone correct me if I am wrong on
that
score.

Hi Jackie

So, do you think this will also work with my Olympus DM recorder? It has a
headphone socket. What exactly is this adaptor called is it simply a Blue
Tooth Adaptor or are there different sorts?

Best regards

A

Hi Kevin

There should be a button on the little box at the other end of the cable,
so
make sure it is on when you attempt to pair it with your headphones like
the
AfterShokz Bluez. You should then hear: "audio device connected". This
is
a great way of listening to something like the Trekker Breeze or Victor
Reader Stream etc.

Hi, no this is a bit bigger than a dongle, you plug it into the
headphone socket of say the breeze, then I don't know how to pare it
with the speaker or what ever you are trying to pare it with as as I
have said I have stored it away some where very safe so safe I can't
find it.

Kevin,

Is that what they call a dongle?

Hi David, no one has said that you can buy an adapter this plugs into
any
3.5 mil audio headphone socket and then you have Bluetooth. I have 1 but
I
have put it in a safe place and can't bloody find it! it's a laugh.

Jackie,

Thanks to you and others who pointed me in the direction of the
Booksense XT. I am amazed that none of the others are Bluetooth
compatible. I have never owned a Bluetooth speaker until today, so
did not take an interest, but it does surprise me how badly equipped
some of the players for the blind appear to be. I suppose it is all
about
cost.

At least I have my new ipad mini which is Bluetooth compatible.

Thanks again to all of you. Now all I need to know is which cable to
purchase to play my Stream through the Bluetooth speakers.

Hi David

The BookSense XT is the only one of the specialist players to support
Bluetooth.
