Hi George
it's a long time since I really used braille and learnt anything new about
it. As I only use braille for labelling and keeping notes (my fingers are
not sensitive enough to read it fluently), it's not surprising I'm out of
touch. I'll have to try and find out more. Is there anywhere I can get a
list of the code? Being in France the RNIB charges a fortune for braille
books so if I can get it off a website it'll be easier.
Regards
Adrien

Unified English Braille (UEB).
In very simplified terms, it is a move towards a standard
common English language braille, and makes a lot of common
sense.
Although perhaps subtle, there are differences between
English and American braille for example.
UEB has been adopted by Canada, Africa and many other
English using countries.
Needless to say America and The United Kingdom have yet to
settle their differences.
Or as someone once said, "Two countries separated by a
common language"
George.

Also, if you're using UEB, it's dot 4 followed by dot 1,
with no spaces in
between. Hope that helps.

Hi Adrien
you asked
"Could somebody let me know how to write the at sign in
Braille,
the at sign used in e-mail addresses?"
It depends on whether you are using the British computer
Braille or the
US computer Braille.
For the British it's dots 2 3 4 6
and for the US it's dots 4
Regards, Derek
