I would agree and that is why reading Braille is so useful. That being said, the hot points I have seen had both a temperature dial anda program dial, with some having a spin dial. Personally I have little need to ever use more than 2 or 3 programs and Iwould think that would be the same for many washer users. It may thereforenot be necessary to have the Braille right by the machine if you really can't get it. You could even go through the manual and braille a short 2 page documentgiving the order of the programs in terms of how many clicks round they are.Regards Graham----- Original Message ----- From: "Alexander Shannon" <alexacts2v4@xxxxxxxxxxxxxx>To: <access-uk@xxxxxxxxxxxxx> Sent: Wednesday, May 30, 2007 8:35 PMSubject: [access-uk] Re: advice required regarding up-to-date information onhotpoint washing machine instruction manuals in alternative formats Hi Graham, As you say, audio is a must for those who can not read Braille due to problems of loss of sensitivity in their fingers. however after writing the message to which you replied I made sometelephone calls and it turns out that Hotpoint have had manuals produced in Braille by the RNIB, but I am not certain if they have had a manual for ourparticular machine produced in that format.I take your point about .PDF format, however this would be as useless as CDif, as carol does, you want the ability to read the manual as you are operating the machine. If you want to do that, you would need, a Braille book you could place on the worktop above the machine would you not agree?
