Research the Adobe Knowledge Base.

I had similar problems when Adobe 8 came out.  I'm a bit
backed up right now, but I'll try to find the message I got
that resolved the problem.

thanks Ray,  it is doing my head in,  it looks like the only
way is to=20
reformat the harddrive drastic but  needs to be done.
