Hi Steve, is there a danger that the Kindle Keyboard 3G will be discontinued?

Cheers

Ron

Hi Dean,

The new one does, but it's a moot point, since you can't access the touch
screen itself. The text to speech is only for reading the actual book, no use
if you can't start or stop it.

All the best

Steve

I was under the impression the the Kindle Touch didn't have a speaker or an
earphone port. Is this updated?

Hi

I have checked on amazon.co.uk and contrary to some of the comment on here as
well as the kindle keyboard the kindle touch also has text to speech built in.
I have also been told that the fire will also have it but wasn't able to
confirm it with the website.

thanks

The Kindle Keyboard 3G is a good alternative that is accessible whilst they
are still available.

  Hi Donna,

No, I don't think it will be accessible. Amazon don't care.

  Subject: [access-uk] Kindle fire

I have noticed that the new Kindle Fire HD is out in October. Given that it's
Android based does anyone know if it will be accessible via speech or is Amazon
as usual not interested in accessibility?

  Thanks

  Donna
