I think this all depends on the individual dental and medical
practice, or perhaps it's a Scottish issue.

Both my dentist's and doctor's practices simply send out a reminder
text message. Why spend money on postage - down here in Northampton,
even within the town itself, postage makes a snail look like an
Olympic runner.

George.

Hello,

I have had this problem with hospital chiropodist and dentist, I have
not overcome it yet.

My dentist does now phone me text message would for me be fine, but
they still send appointment cards out. if they would let us sign a
disclaimer form and let them off the hook if it goes missing in the
mail I would be up for that as e-mail is the best thing since sliced
bread.

In this day there should be no reason that we can't get all
correspondence buy mail if we sign an agreement that we will not hold
any organization responsible if the mail gets into the wrong hands.

Maybe if you are not happy then you don't sign on the dotted line.
