I believe that there are some list members, other than myself, who are now
working with
Word 2007, and perhaps someone may be able to throw some light on the following.
For some reason Word 2007 is saving documents in the Print layout rather than
the Normal
view. In the View tab of the ribbon it appears that Print layout (the first
option) is selected and
nothing I can do will change this. It could be a bug in the Microsoft code, but
I doubt this.
More likely the script which Hal 9.02 is using to handle the ribbon is
misbehaving. I would be
interested to know what happens with Jaws or Window-eyes.
trying to edit a complex document in the Print layout is something of a
nightmare!
At present I have, in desperation, to take the file to a machine still running
Word 2003, make
the change in the View menu and save it again!
Thanks in advance for any suggestions. .
Douglas
