It was WPA2 that I needed, just using WPA didn't match up to the network, which also has several security options, all a bit different than those listed on the laptop apart from wep! - Andy ----- Original Message ----- From: "Dj Paddy" <mygroups@xxxxxxxxxxxxx> To: <access-uk@xxxxxxxxxxxxx> Sent: Saturday, March 08, 2008 1:09 PM Subject: [access-uk] Re: Wireless networking | Andy, | | Are you using WEP? | | Try WPA and see if it allows it. | | Also what is the make and model of your wireless card? | | Does this card support the encryption methods your trying? | | Can you connect to the network OK when it's unencrypted? | | Dj Paddy | ----- Original Message ----- | From: "Andy Collins" <andy@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx> | To: <access-uk@xxxxxxxxxxxxx> | Sent: Wednesday, March 05, 2008 7:06 PM | Subject: [access-uk] Wireless networking | | | > Hi all - | > | > I've managed to install and hardwire my new router, and establish the | > wireless configuration. | > | > I then went to my laptop, and clicked on 'connect to.'
