They say it will be released via the Update process during
the first half of this year.

As with any major upgrade, you will be asked if you wish to
install it. It will definitely NOT be imposed on you
without your permission. (Especially as they say it can be
anywhere up to 950 Megabytes in size.

Subject: [access-uk] Windows XP SP3 question, how can i
switch off Automatic updates in order to check if I am
elidgeable to recieve Xp SP3?

Hi all,

On a recent thread, which I can not remember the subject of,
there was talk
of Windows XP SP3 being available, but it was suggested that
Automatic
Updates was disabled in order to allow SP3 in.

Is it possible for someone on the list to write back to me
either on or off
list, and let me know if Windows XP SP3 is actually around
for those like
myself who are running XP Home SP2, and if it is available,
to let me know
how and where to download it and also, if possible, how to
temporarily
disable Automatic Updates and then re-enable automatic
updates once Windows
XP SP3 has been installed on my Acer laptop running windows
XP SP2, and
Supernova access Software.

Thank you in advance for any help.
