Eleanor,

to disable user access control:

1. Press the windows button and then type 'user' in the search box;
2. Arrow down the list until you get to 'change user account control
settings'' and press enter;
3. In the dialog box that appears, tab once and you will have focus on a
slider bar. Move the left or right arrow key until this indicates '0'.
Before doing this, take a note of the value currently set, i.e. 50% 100% so
that you can re-enable the setting later if you wish, personally I have it
switched off all the time;
4. Tab to the 'OK' button and press enter.

The User Access Control is now disabled.

However, it might be administrator privileges you need to change, if so,
then do the following:

1. Press the Windows key and type 'user' and then arrow key down the list to
'user accounts' and press enter;
2. In the dialog box that appears, tab down 3 times to 'change your account
type' and then press enter;
3. Depending on how your system was set up, there should be radio buttons
that indicate the type of account, select the 'administrator account' radio
button if not already selected;
4. Tab to the 'OK' button and press enter.

The changes may need a reboot, so do this and then try to activate the
Duxbury software again.

Hopefully this will sort the problem.

John.

Hi All
I want activate my Duxburyy Braille Translation but when I go to activate
it, i am not permitted to do so. I think I need to temporarily disable
within Control Pannel that feature which permits changes to programmes but I
cannot remember what this permission is called to go in and deactivate it
temporarily. can someone kindly remind me? Thanks.
