[access-uk] Re: Window eyes support for Vista?

Hi Barry,

It is early days yet, but the pre-installation information
for Vista Beta 1 does include advice for anyone using JAWS
or Window-Eyes. (I forget if it mentions HAL)

However, the advice is essentially to turn the screen reader
off during installation and use Narrator.

I've yet to install the beta. It was a 12 hour download of
an ISO CD image (2+ gigs), which I've still got to burn to a
DVD. I then need to find a suitable machine to install it
on.

However, I'm relieved to say that Microsoft have not gagged
beta testers at this stage in the game, so when I can get it
up and running, I will at least be able to talk about it
openly.

George.
