Hi Simon,

If his firewall is decent, that won't sort him out.  That doesn't get past
my router, I have to physically open the port on the router, although it is
OK for me, my route allows port triggering, which is more secure.

  create a new notepad document in your WinMX root directory (e.g.;
C:/PROGRAM
  FILES/WINMX)
  and write this code in it:

  Then, save that as "wspcfg.ini" and run WinMX normally. This should sort
you out.

    Sounds like your firewall is not allowing WINMX to use its ports.  I
can't
    remember what they are, but look in WINMX help, and you need to tell the
Win
    XP firewall to open those ports.

    When I try and make a primary connection to my broadband with win mx I

    No TCP port for incoming connections

    It will only let me make a secondary connection which is meant for dial
