I think the Epson Perfections are pretty good and I know of at least one guy on list who is using one with Window-Eyes along with Kertzveil and/or Fine Reader. Don't know the current state of play but they used to do at least two versions, the slightly more expensive one handles slides. HTH. I'm thinking of purchasing an Epson Perfection scanner, so that I can scan in any handouts or other print material I receive during my time at university and afterwards. How accessible, in terms of hardware and/or software, are they? I use Window-Eyes. Thanks for any help. I was recommended to purchase this scanner by one of the assistive technology personnel at my college, to which I've now left after being a student there for 5 years.
