[access-uk] What is an m4b file?

Hi all -
I've just been sent an m4b file via sendspace, but it doesn't open when I
click on it!
I understand this is an audio book bought through Itunes, will this be
right? is the m4b file extention an Itunes extention?
Can it be converted to mp3 in some way?
