Another recomendation that I would make for accessibility is Hotpoint since the company will fit brailled pannels to some of their models of washer.

Hi Audrey.
Well I would go for a washing machine only. I am not in favour of dryers personally. My father bought one made by Besco from Asda Direct for me. True it is not accessible out of the box, but once some bumps are stuck on the controls it is easy to use. In fact, my father has set the dials for me so that I don't have to touch them, however they are marked anyway in case of accidental alterations. I also have a bump on the power on/off. I did have one for the start button but for some reason it came off! No worries; it is the first button from the power button, which by the way is one of those that recesses when it's on.
Hope this explains things.
Take care.

HI everyone.

I find that I need to buy a new washing machine and would like to know
what others would recommend from a blind persons angle. I am also
looking into washer dryers as an alternative and wonder about others
experiences of these as well.

Any recommendations and advice would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks

Audrey
