HI - If other users are muting volume because they don't want to hear speech software, then perhaps he could stop his speech loading on start up, and use a hot key to access it when he logged on -

Hi,I have been asked by a network administrator if there is a way to disable mute in the Windows volume control. He works at a school, and sited pupils keep muting the volume control so that when a blind user logs on, they have no sound, and therefore no speech.
